- I ordered a turn-out sheet in my colors for a 14.2 Connemara gelding who had
- been wearing size 68 sheets, Curvon Baker, and blankets, same brand. I
- ordered the Wilsun (I believe that's the correct spelling) sheet with a regular
- neck. Well, when I got it the neck didn't fit at all, the front wouldn't close
- and the whole thing was a disaster. They were very nice when I called and we
- discussed what might have happened. I sent the sheet back with pictures of the
- problem. I then spoke to Gary and he told me the Triple Crown story. By then I
- had received a gorgeous Triple Crown blanket--custom colors and piping to the
- tune of almost $200--for one of my other horses. So I tried it on the pony and
- found that the 70 seemed to fit him. I also measured his neck as was suggested
- and found, not surprisingly, that he had quite a neck for a little guy. So I
- sent new information--they gave me a small discount on the new sheet--and we
- tried again. The new sheet isn't great either. Its just a little too tight in
- the front. This for a pony that now has an inexpensive ROMA blanket that fits
- him beautifully. So he can't really be that much of a problem if three other
- products fit great. But frankly, I now have two of the Triple Crown--and they
- are pretty in our colors of royal blue with red trim and gold piping--blankets
- for my other two horses, but I am not that impressed with them as far as fit.
- They seem to twist as much as any other blanket, I think they could be longer
- on the sides. As far as wear, I don't know because we've only had them a
- short time. So, that's my Wilsun experience. I think they are nice people, very
- helpful, but how do you know what kind of size to order and how do you return
- custom work! They don't give enough information in the catalog to tell you what
- is a quarter horse cut for example. Maybe that's what I needed.
