- I was very curious about the differences I observed between the trainers/
- riders in Boise when I was up on a visit, and the trainers/riders I observe
- here. I stopped at Once Upon a Horse, and watched some lessons and a Pony
- Club show. The horses were universally relaxed, few on the bit (this was
- low level stuff) and many were crooked, but there was very little resistance
- to the aids.

- Here, the horses go on the bit much earlier, and are straight even at low
- levels, but there is much more resistance problems.

- I found it very interesting as an out-of-towner to observe the different
- focuses that obtained in different parts of the country. You can observe
- some of the trade offs that you only hear about....
