  12. Over the Christmas holiday, while visiting my parents
  13. in the Midwest, I had the opportunity to peruse my
  14. late grandfather's stamp collection.  Among the 
  15. miscellanea were about two dozen airflight and navy
  16. covers from 1929-53.  These covers commemorate (inter
  17. alia) the launching of ships/submarines, fleet exer-
  18. cises (incl. one bearing the cachet and postmark of
  19. the famous aircraft carrier USS Lexington, ca. 1933),
  20. Charles and Ann Lindbergh's aerial survey of four
  21. continents (ca. 1933), and various first flights,
  22. also Byrd's Antarctic expedition.

  24. My question: The philatelic catalogues available
  25. to me (Scott's, Bowman, Blackbook Price Guide) do not
  26. list such material.  What source should I consult to
  27. determine what (if any) value these covers might have?
