  26. For this price you've got an all tube system that's going to blow your
  27. socks away.  I've audionned the Dahlquist vs the Mirage and the Snell
  28. and I found that the DQ's were more open, more detailed, more clear and
  29. more pleasant. In short they were better in every field; the Mirage
  30. were the least good of the 3.  Conrad & Johnson doesn't need to be
  31. presented: I believe they have the best tube stuff under $2000. You may
  32. also want to consider a VTL amp if you want to have a (very small)
  33. improvment in the bass.  The Sonograph is a killer CD, and you would
  34. have to spend significantly more money to get any thing better with a
  35. separate transport and D/A. In that case my choice would be an Audio
  36. Alchemy transport coupled with a PS digital link D/A.  Any good
  37. interconnects will do. My favorite are the Maestro's. Same for the
  38. speaker cables.  Try Steely Dan "Gaucho" master recording or Cowboy
  39. junkies "Trinity session" at medium to high volume on this system and
  40. ENJOY THE MUSIC.

  42. For that money you system will sound like a $15,000 system. I've heard
  43. even more expensive stuff not sounding quite as good.
