- I own a MC-275 - have had it for about 15 years since I got it from Control
- Data when they quit using it as an instrumentation amp. They had it
- driving a shaker table for several years. They were made from 1961-70
- according to the Blue Book, but I have my doubts about those dates..I
- do know they were made from 1964-1968 for sure..
-
- I was told by a McIntosh dealer that the new 275 is just a limited run
- of 1000 units, and will sell for $4000. I suspect they are all sold,
- if that production number is correct.

- McIntosh is a good refutal to the claim that model numbers could not be
- indicative of power ratings according to the FCC regulations, since
- the 275 means 2 channels at 75 watts per channel..and that follows for
- most of their amps.

- It's odd how as I get older, the days are longer, but the years are shorter!
