  21. I own a MC-275 - have had it for about 15 years since I got it from Control
  22. Data when they quit using it as an instrumentation amp.  They had it
  23. driving a shaker table for several years.  They were made from 1961-70
  24. according to the Blue Book, but I have my doubts about those dates..I
  25. do know they were made from 1964-1968 for sure..

  27. I was told by a McIntosh dealer that the new 275 is just a limited run
  28. of 1000 units, and will sell for $4000.  I suspect they are all sold,
  29. if that production number is correct.

  33. McIntosh is a good refutal to the claim that model numbers could not be
  34. indicative of power ratings according to the FCC regulations, since
  35. the 275 means 2 channels at 75 watts per channel..and that follows for 
  36. most of their amps.
