- Hello all,
- I've just got my copy of Vance Dickason loudspeaker cookbook, and the parties
- that my friends and I use to run have gone down the pan, so I've
- inherited one JBL 45/60
- cab with a JBL 2225 driver.
-
- The cab is far to big to use in my room, so I thought I'd take the
- driver out and build
- a box that would fit under my bed, I rang up JBL and they sent me the
- data sheet for the
- 2225. I then got the cookbook and tried to use the formulae for the box
- designs, but I
- think I must be doing something wrong, I'm using the C4 alignment with QL=7.
-
- Qts for the woofer is 0.28,so Vb=Vas/0<
- 6ft^3/3.2360=1.8541409 which seems very small.
-
- All the calculations I do seem th come up nonsense, could some tell me
- what I'm doing
- wrong, or be kind enough to run it though perfectbox or something, I'm
- looking for low
- f3 and have about 15ft^3 to play with.
