  35.     Simple.  What's the cost of the two models?

  37.   Try SHORTING the inputs to the sub.  You may need to try each
  38.   individually as well as all together.

  40.   If that stops it, then you likely do have some type of grounding
  41.   problem that you'll need to chase down.

  43.   If you still have hum with all inputs shorted, then the hum is
  44.   being generated in the subwoofer.  Depending on the level, it may
  45.   be "normal" [everything hums if you turn it up enough and stick
  46.   your ear in the right place] or the unit may be defective.

  48.   Go to your dealer and listen to HIS units of the same model and
  49.   see if they hum as well....   [WHAT, you didn't do this before you
  50.   bought the unit? >:-) ]
