  13. I currently have a low end (Pioneer) CD player.  I really am not happy with
  14. the sound (what can I expect for $150!).  I really want to upgrade to
  15. a great sounding player - one with clean sound that has enough brightness
  16. as well as accuracy.  I also want optical digital output.  Do any of you have
  17. suggestions for a nice higher-end (around $500) CD player?  I'm not looking
  18. for fancy features; I just want quality sound.  I know the FAQ says a lot
  19. of people like Rotel in this price range, but I heard a posting recently
  20. that was negative about Rotel.  So what should I look at?
