  38. I've had an NAD 5000 CD player for about 6 monthes now, and don't have any
  39. complaints at all.  Not only do I think it sounds very good (especially
  40. for the $450 I paid for it, and I've seen it as low as $389), but it has
  41. gotten very good reviews in the respectable mags such as Stereophile.  I
  42. can't see how anyone would have a problem with this player unless the
  43. rest of their system was not up to par.  Even if you don't think the D/A
  44. section is great, it would make an excellent transport.  I'm just using it
  45. stand-alone until I can afford an outboard DAC.  As far as the Rotel is
  46. concerned, I think the NAD is better.
