- I've had an NAD 5000 CD player for about 6 monthes now, and don't have any
- complaints at all. Not only do I think it sounds very good (especially
- for the $450 I paid for it, and I've seen it as low as $389), but it has
- gotten very good reviews in the respectable mags such as Stereophile. I
- can't see how anyone would have a problem with this player unless the
- rest of their system was not up to par. Even if you don't think the D/A
- section is great, it would make an excellent transport. I'm just using it
- stand-alone until I can afford an outboard DAC. As far as the Rotel is
- concerned, I think the NAD is better.
