- i've heard that heat can be disastrous for cassettes, so leaving
- cassettes in hot cars in the middle of the day during the summer
- is something to avoid.
-
- how do the winter's low temperatures affect cassettes ...
-
- 1. if they are left in a car for several hours, then played while still cold,
- 2. if they are brought into a car from home, then played while they are at
- room temperature, but while the car (and therefore the tape heads,
- capstan, roller, etc) are still cold?
-
- can lasting damage to the cassette occur from these?
-
- please respond by e-mail, instead of, or in addition to, posting.
- i can only access these groups via a painfully slow telnet connection,
- and i do so very infrequently.
-
- thanks very much,
- peter
