- Howdy,
- I am in the market for a portable CD player. One that will work anywhere
- including my car.
-
- I have a Nakamichi RD-460 in my car (which supports CD line inputs),
- no CD player at home (yet), and a CD-ROM at (my current) work that works
- nicely with my audio CDs.

-
- I have seen the Sony 180K, 802K, 808K, and the Magnavox CDB502.
- The Sony 802K looks the best so far.
-
- My basic question is what is the best unit for the job?

- Other factors:

- vibration dampening?
- hookups for a car without a CD player?
- lighting?
- Do all portable CD players have:
- a line out?
- 12VDC in?
- I have only been at this a short time and I am lost.
- Has any magazine or other source done a write up lately?
- I have checked Consumer Reports, nothing.
-
- Any info would be appreciated.
- Thanks,
- Mike
