- Sigh. It's also been proposed that "disk" refers to removable media
- (i.e., "floppy disk"), while "disc" is fixed (as in "hard disc drive").
- Both are examples of someone trying to impose a "standard" after the fact,
- most likely someone who just can't stand the notion that there are
- two perfectly acceptable alternate spellings for "disc/disk."
