- /Stuart Lewis offers some excellent advice about driving in snow. My
- /two bits' worth:
- / "When driving in snow *always* light on the gas, light on the

- Another tip is to "maintain momentum". It is much easier to continue
- moving than to stop and start again. This is particularly true for
- stop signs and traffic lights, i.e. try not to come to a complete stop,
- especially on an uphill grade.
-
- Some other advice:
- o Replace your California slicks.
- o For rear wheel drive cars, keep the gas tank full. This adds
- extra weight over the drive wheels. Throw a couple hundred
- pounds of stuff in the trunk, too.
- o Keep a pair of boots in the car in case you have to walk!
