- I'm looking for a commercial (or other) networking product that does the
- following:
-
- - Runs on an IBM PC clone
- - SIMULTANEOUSLY acts as a file server for:
- -- a Novell network (for PCs on a local net)
- -- an ethernet network or SLIP p-p link (for Sun workstation
- access via NFS)
-
- Basically I'm looking for a file server that can serve both Novell clients
- and NFS clients that are on separate nets, possibly linked via a SLIP
- telephone link. Visually, it looks like this:
-
- +-----+ +-----+
- | P C | | P C |
- +-----+ +-----+
- | |
- +-------------+ +-------------+ | |
- | Sun | SLIP phone link | PC | | |
- | |<--------------------->| |<---------------------
- | Workstation | <-- NFS access --> | File Server | <-- Novel access -->
- +-------------+ +-------------+
-
-
- Alternatively, is there an SBus card and kernel driver software for
- Sparcstations that allows Novell network file access from PCs?
-
- Please reply via e-mail. Thanks in advance!
