  24. You see. April 1 of 1992, I was wondering that same such question. I found
  25. out pretty hard.

  27. First, minimun 1 years loss of license. Next, about $300 or more in fines
  28. (mine was just under $400, including $25 for expired inspection). And
  29. finally, some sort of community service. For me that was 24 hours at 
  30. the local hospital. Thats 4 saturdays at 7 hours a day
  31.  
  32. Lastly, and this point I dont know exact, is a surcharge. I paid $30
  33. to reinstate my license April 1 1993, but dont know what the surcharge
  34. will be. For instance, DWI is $1000/3 years, so Im guessing about
  35. $350 or towards that effect.

  37. Now. The 1 year loss is mandatory. Dunno about the fine and service,
  38. I think thats up to the judge. The surcharge is mandatory also, but
  39. talk to me April 2 1993 and Ill let you know :-)

  41. Next. If you dont get caught, and you do get in an accident, leave
  42. the country. Europe sounds good. Why? I cant say for sure, but jail
  43. time is a definate. God help you if the person is injured, or dies.
  44. Most likely youll be charged with manslaughter/murder or attempted
  45. thereof.

  47. If you are driving without insurance, the only thing I can say is:
  48. DONT! Go out right NOW and get it. I dont care if you dont have
  49. money (as my situation was, but I could have gotten money if it
  50. wasnt for pride stopping me from asking). If you dont get insurance,
  51. Ill met you on the Morris County Metro Bus Line, route #10. And
  52. let me tell you, there are some very disturbing people who ride
  53. the buss...
