- I am using the rn newsreader.
- How do I set the default RNINIT variable so that whenever I use rn,
- it will use the -q flag and NOT check for new newsgroups. The man
- page is very vague on how to do this. I would like to set the RNINIT variable
- in a default file, like my .login file.
-
- The rn man page is vague because setting a variable is shell-dependent.
- Try "setenv RNINIT -q" in csh.
-
- man csh
- or
- man sh
- et.al. should help.
