- Hi,
-
- I have just established a news feed with UUNET and everything is going well,
- except ONE little thing: We can't post due to 'invalid' headers. Here's
- my config:
-
- C-news connection with UUNET. Batching working well. All incoming
- news looks fine.
-
- NNTP for inhouse distribution of hews from the new host. Connection
- to C-news directory structure works well.
-
- Readers offered: GNUS (in emacs, using local nnspool rather than
- NNTP connection to news spool), Trumpet (DOS based NNTP reader)
-
- The problem is that none of these readers can post with the proper header.
- The posting in TRUMPET is shut down immediately, in GNUS the post appears
- to succeed, but then the newsmaster (me) gets a message that the posting
- failed. I also tried the postnews program that arrives with C-news and
- it also created an 'invalid header'. I must be missing something fundamental
- here. Sorry for such a basic question.
-
- A second question. How do I establish a moderator for a local moderated
- group? How does the moderator post into the group? This is of much less
- importance.
-
- Please respond via e-mail, as I can't post back via the newsgroup very
- well. Thank you for any help in advance.
