- I've seen at least statewide cops with apparently three different types of
- jurisdiction; can anyone shed some light on this to a country bumpkin who
- moved down from NH?
-
- Also, why do you call liquor stores "Package Stores"? Or "Packies", as the
- local yokels in Newburyport persist in calling them..
-
- Back to cops for a second: is the "enforced speed of the day" published in the
- Globe? I'm getting annoyed about slowing down when I spot a cop just to then
- watch him pass everyone on the right at 75mph. I've taken to following him at
- his speed. Bad idea?
-
- "But really, your Honor, I was assuming that good Officer Donut was travelling
- at 55mph, and that my speedometer was broken.. after all, his lights were
- -not- on and I know that the local constabulary always tries to make a good
- impression.."
-
- Finally, I heard that Beantown Harley pigs were using lidar guns in one of the
- downtown tunnels at 10pm the other night, and that there was a whole line of
- cars pulled over just past the end.. anyone else seen instances of these Evil
- and Unwholesome devices in use?
