- Just a few thoughts: MY eigth grade English teacher taught
- sentence diagramming as a game. A competition on teams.
- Although I make my living as a writer I am hard-pressed to
- define "future perfect" and past participle. But I can
- diagram the heck out of most sentences in less than 30 seconds.
- The advantage in this has been that while I can't name all the
- parts of speech, it is not difficult to use them correctly.

- If you enjoy cross-word puzzles or word games, you might find
- that you enjoy diagramming a sentence (the old fashioned way).
- Words are just tools, you can argue tense and significance
- all day long, when you let yourself master the tool.
