- I once got a rejection letter (from Mother Jones) addressed to Professor
- Joseph Chew, New Mexico Military Institute, Socorro, NM. New Mexico
- Tech (in Socorro, NM) sent it to NMMI (Roswell, NM), which stamped
- it no-such-animal and sent it back to Socorro. By this time the envelope
- had more rubber-stampings on it than a hashish smuggler's passport,
- so Tech did a little detective work and finally sent it to *student* Joseph
-
- Chew. Who found therein a polite and helpful (if sporadically misspelled)
- explanation of why they didn't want the article.
