  14. I once got a rejection letter (from Mother Jones) addressed to Professor
  15. Joseph Chew, New Mexico Military Institute, Socorro, NM.  New Mexico
  16. Tech (in Socorro, NM) sent it to NMMI (Roswell, NM), which stamped 
  17. it no-such-animal and sent it back to Socorro.   By this time the envelope
  18. had more rubber-stampings on it than a hashish smuggler's  passport, 
  19. so Tech did a little detective work and finally sent it to *student* Joseph
  20.  
  21. Chew.  Who found therein a polite and helpful (if sporadically misspelled) 
  22. explanation of why they didn't want the article.
