- Yes. If it is $10.00 or more, the IRS will issue you a 1099-INT for it.

- Moreover, unlike interest on Treasury obligations, states are allowed to
- tax interest on IRS refunds. My home state does and I'd be very surprised
- if California does not (assuming Mr. Stanton is a Californian).
