  12. I started working only from Oct92 and received only about $12000 so far. I will be filing Income tax return under "Married filling jointly". I have the following questions.

  14. 1. Can I claim $6,000 as exemption (For Married filing jointly)? Also can I claim $6900 as deductibles for dependents (For my wife and child)?
  15.  
  16. 2. Am I eligible for the EIC (Earned Income Credit) as my total income is less than $13000?

  18. Please let me know the answers for the above.
