- I have a question about the penalty-free 401(k) hardship rule for
- early withdrawal of funds:
-
- At one time I understood that the rule allowed you to withdraw money
- to be used as a down payment on a house. Is this still allowed?
- If so, what conditions must be met to allow such a withdrawal?
-
- Sorry if this is a FAQ -- I just started reading this group, and did
- not see anything posted that answered my question.
-
- Thanks in advance for any info!
