- Here's a question for all you wood burning experts out there.
-
- I have a wood burning stove in my family room. The draft is sometimes
- poor, but sometimes OK. The times it is poor, smoke comes into the room
- rather than up the flu when the stove door is opened to add wood. Sometimes
- the smoke actually travels _down_ the flu and through the cleaning door
- and into the basement. You can actually see the smoke as well as smell
- it in the basement. And when you look at the chimney from outside, often
- smoke leaving the chimney floats _down_ into the back yard, rather than
- rising.
-
- Any ideas on what can be causing all this?
-
- Many thanks in advance,
-
