  10. Could anyone give me some hints on making a move to a new city and a
  11. new daycare situation bearable for a child who will be 3 in January?
  12.  
  13. Here is the situation:  after moving from our house in November, we
  14. are moving now to another city where I have a new job.  Anna will be
  15. 3 in 2 weeks, and will now start with a babysitter (who has care of
  16. 3 others ages 3 mo, 2 yr, and 4 yr) -- a change from the daycer she
  17. has been in since 10 weeks.

  19. To complicate matters, she will spend the day we load the truck and
  20. the day the truck unloads with me, as well as the next 2 days.  I plan
  21. on taking her to the babysitters for this time.  Her father then takes her
  22. for the next week.  
  23.  
  24. I start the new job during this week.  This means I have some time to
  25. get going on this, without her about to get me crazed, but also means
  26. she loses any time I might have in helping her adjust to a new place
  27. and routine.
  28.  
  29. Truck comes Monday, and we move in on Tuesday.  Her father comes Thursday
  30. to pick her up and will return the following Sat/Sun (he is insure
  31. right now when).  By the way, he lives about 5 hours from our new home.
  32.  
  33. Any ideas?  I already have taken her to see where we will live, and to
  34. spend some time with the new babysitter (I did not leave her there).

  36. What else can I do?
