- Okay, let's try this one more time...this is your penis...this is your penis
- without a foreskin.
-
- But seriously folks, it seems that the main issue here is that of whether or
- not circumcisions are medically unnecessary. The antis claim that they
- are. Many of the rest of us pro-choicers say that the jury's out on this,
- and that all the conflicting studies tell us that it's a 50/50 chance either
- way. As a result, we're putting our money on circumcision. I believe this
- is called a judgement call.
-
- Now you antis may wish to wait until you get some more convincing evidence
- that circumcision is a good idea...something like a study that proves that 1
- out of every 2 uncircumcised men dies from bad breath, or something like
- that (but then again, judging from some of the responses I've seen, someone
- would very likely say something akin to "But in that study, the 50% who died
- of bad breath lived in a place where there was no access to Listerine, so it
- was flawed and doesn't prove anything!").
-
- For Pete's sake, can't we just agree to disagree without the rest of you
- antis trying to beat us pro-choicers over the head with the latest figures
- you've dug up to prove that we're neanderthals for favoring circumcision for
- *our* children? After all, remember that there are three types of lies;
- lies, damned lies, and statistics.
-
- And frankly, as much as I try to be rational and logical in decisions I
- make, I must admit that the strident tone of some of you antis almost makes
- me reach the point where I'd circumcise no matter what you said, just
- because you're beginning to bug the Hell out of me. Get a life already and
- deal with a real problem...like maybe go to the store and buy some food for
- the food pantry...now that's a real problem...there are more people out
- there who are hungry than are complaining about the fact that their parents
- had them circumcised.
-
- Or as Yogi Bear would say, "Sheesh!"
