  11. On Christmas day Aladdan opened here in Ames.  My 12 year old sister is here
  12. visiting for the holidays and we wanted to all go to the movie on opening day.
  13. The one problem was what to do with Joseph who is only 4 months old.  All of
  14. our possible babysitters are out of town, and anyway it wouldn't be very
  15. nice to ask anyone to babysit on Christmas day.  My husband and I both
  16. really *hate* crying babies in movie theaters, even Disney movies.  So, what
  17. to do?  My husband wanted just me and my sister to go, but I could tell that
  18. he really wanted to go too and was just being noble.  I suggested we *all* go.
  19. My husband agreed on the condition that *I* be the one to walk the mall with
  20. the baby when the inevitable happened and the baby started to cry in the
  21. middle of the movie.  I agreed.  Joseph slept for the first half hour and
  22. then woke up.  I was holding him and thought, oh, well, this is it.  I turned
  23. him so he was facing the screen.  I was amazed when he started to *watch* the
  24. movie!  He watched the movie for the next *hour*!  The only noises he made
  25. were to occaisionally talk to himself, but not loudly enough for anyone else
  26. to hear.  We were all very proud of him!
