  15. I read an editorial in the Sunday _Times/PI_ advocating the 
  16. creation of something called the Cascade State College to be
  17. located on the eastside and being made up of the Bothell (is
  18. that REALLY the eastside) and Bellevue Community College.

  20. The editorial's rationale for this was the huge expected influx
  21. of baby boomers' babies over the next 20 years.  But my visual
  22. research (school mates of my daughter's) and some research done
  23. by NSF show that there is going to be a huge DECLINE in college
  24. enrollment due to the now lower birthrate.

  26. Most "true" babyboomers are in their 40s now and I am pushing it
  27. for another child (36).  In my case, I have one child compared to
  28. to the 3 my parents had and the 2 kids my ex's parents had.
  29.  
  30. So, how about it?  Is this new college being built based on reality
  31. or is it something that most likely will go to bust in 25 years or 
  32. so?

  34. If there is enough interest I will post the survey results and, if
  35. the results are as I think they will be, I most likely write at
  36. least a letter to the editor incorporating these results (anony-
  37. mously results-wise, of course).
