- GOOD FOR YOU! I have two boys and they have not been circumcised. My ob
- gave me literature on the pros and cons of having them circumcised, and after
- reading that the proceedure was somewhat painful for the child, I decided not
- to have my son go through it. I remember on the pro side of not having it
- done, was there was less chance of an infection on the penis.
-
- I have taught both my boys the proper was to clean themselves, and watched
- them until they were old enough to do it properly. They are now 7 and 5.
- To them cleaning their penis is part of taking a bath.
-
- I could not see making a baby cry just to have something like that done to
- them.
-
- Good luck on your newborn.
