  13.      20-month-old cousnin Kiersten got one of these dolls where you make
  14. a loud noise to start her crying, and it reminded my grandma of a time when
  15. Melissa, now about 13, was 3; she had gotten a doll that cried a lot during
  16. Xmas, and she got fed up with it shortly before they went home:  She gave
  17. it to Grandma and said: "You take her; I can't take care of her!!!"

  19.      Kiersten is really getting cute; Matthew woke up from a nap in the van
  20. late, so he was eating while almost everyone else had gotten up.  I was keep-
  21. ing him company while watching Kiersten at the same time.  I turned my head
  22. for a moment, and she had the ketchup bottle open and had squirted some on
  23. her brother.  He gave her a funny look - she realized what she had done,
  24. giggled heartily and said: "Gotcha!!!"  They're so cute at this age.
