  12. Well, here it is, Christmas eve, and I've got a 3-year-old girl with
  13. strep throat _and_ chicken pox. The first year that she was really 
  14. looking forward to Christmas at her Grandma's house with all the relatives.

  16. Oh well, the bright side is that most of the relatives are local. It is the
  17. only time each year that we get them all in one place, though. (And my sister,
  18. who has 3 kids, was just too smug when she said "I guess we won't be seeing 
  19. you on Christmas."

  21. And I think one side effect of the chicken pox is a constant whine ...
