- For me, there is only one requirement in a nursing chair: that it not have
- arms. Arms give the baby something to kick against, so he can suddenly zoom
- over a little distance with your nipple firmly clenched in his little jaws.

- Because of this, I've never liked any rocking chairs I've seen, for nursing.
- A glider wide enough for two people to sit on is the only rocker I can see
- working, and I don't have one of those (don't have ROOM for it). The rocker
- is good when the baby needs to be soothed but doesn't need to eat. Most
- rockers rock poorly, so buying a good rocker requires a lot of test rocking.
