  11. Yup, you're right Dena.  It is NATIVE fluency most people can't attain after
  12. puberty.

  14. BTW, there are some people for whom this doesn't seem to hold - they do pick
  15. up languages easily, and develop true fluency.  Interestingly, there seems to
  16. be a link between this skill and having learned MORE THAN ONE language as a
  17. child!  I'm always mildly envious of them...:-)
