  11. Well,  things were slow so ---  here's an easy quiz.
  12.  
  13. Several companies on the New York or American Stock Exchange have
  14. one-letter symbols.
  15.  
  16. I have listed them symbols below and your job, should you choose to
  17. accept it, is to identify the company corresponding to the symbol.
  18.  
  19. To make it even easier, I've listed the corrsponding companies,
  20. along with several other companies just to make it interesting.
  21. But each of the companies with a one-letter stock symbol is listed.
  22.  
  23. I don't always use the exact company name or exact financial page
  24. listing, but if you know the name of the company you will have no
  25. trouble matching them up.
  26.  
  27. For some one-letter symbols I couldn't find any company (e.g., M, Q)
  28. and one (  O  ) is listed to Odetics, Inc, but I could find only
  29. an O.A and O.B  (Odetics Class A/B) and not an O.   "L" is reserved
  30. for Loblaw Companies, which is not listed on either the NYSE or ASE
  31. (but has been listed on the Toronto and other exchanges.)  Since I'm
  32. not working with an electronic database, I could have overlooked
  33. some, and welcome correction if I did.

  35. Anyway the 1-letter symbols are all those except L, M, O and Q.
  36. Please don't post answers, but please feel free to point out any
  37. obvious errors.  Answers are in any stock guide or WSJ etc listings,
  38. or I'll mail answers to anyone really curious.
