- I forgot to mention in another post about the layoffs. In the last 3-4 weeks
- the S.F. Chronicle (Sunday edition) say that it appeared Everex was laying off
- people still and that they were close to the limit of 500. There is apparently
- a limit of 500 people before a company must make a public announcement. The
- implied that there was a loop hole in the law that Everex was using by spreadi
- Chronicle implied that Everex was going thur a loop hole by spreading out
- the layoffs to be longer than the time limit of 90 days (?). These layoffs
- were not announced to the news media.
