  32. I forgot to mention in another post about the layoffs. In the last 3-4 weeks 
  33. the S.F. Chronicle (Sunday edition) say that it appeared Everex was laying off
  34. people still and that they were close to the limit of 500. There is apparently
  35. a limit of 500 people before a company must make a public announcement. The 
  36. implied that there was a loop hole in the law that Everex was using by spreadi
  37. Chronicle implied that Everex was going thur a loop hole by spreading out 
  38. the layoffs to be longer than the time limit of 90 days (?). These layoffs 
  39. were not announced to the news media.
