- I am currently conducting research in the area of college based
- emergency medical services systems. A college based emergency
- medical services services system is bound to be unique in many
- ways. Perhaps the most peerless aspect would be the populace that
- it serves. A college community is made up of a distinctive population
- that may present a wide range of emergency situations.
-
- Some information that I need................
- How many post-secondary institutions have EMS Systems?
- Who are they? Who would be the contact person?
- Do they provide BLS and/or ALS transport?
- Do they provide first response teams that do not transport?
- Paid or volunteer staff?
- Membership is composed of faculty, students, staff or the general community?
- Who about the the development and implementation of a college
- based EMS system? The commitment of the institution,
- assessment of needs, funding, liability, recruiting, staff
- development, standard operating procedures, public relations
- within and outside the university community and overall
- effectiveness of the prgram?
