  15. Over the past decade, I have dealt with, reviewed, adopted, considered
  16. adopting, etc. etc. a variety of Computer Survey/Programming/
  17. Systems Analysis textbooks for my Community College courses.
  18.  
  19. Apparently there have been a lot of mergers and acquisitions
  20. in recent years & it's left me confused as to who has survived.
  21. I would appreciate it if any netters out there could shed some
  22. light on who is still active in the field, who owns who, and 
  23. why A survived but B didn't.  Needless to say, I consider this
  24. to be an unfortunate trend (i.e. the "little fish" publishers
  25. being eaten by the "big fish" publishers), but maybe I'm just
  26. not getting with the global competition ticket ...
