- I am looking for information on a group known as IMPACT II, a network of
- teacher support groups that began about 13 years ago in New York City
- with financing from the Exxon Education Foundation. People in our
- region are contemplating the demand for a foundation that would provide
- instructional improvement dollars directly to teachers at the K-12
- level. This would be similar to a program taking place in Los Angeles,
- the Small Grants for Teachers program run by the Los Angeles Educational
- Partnership, and would provide instructional improvement grants of less
- than $1000 dollars/year to teachers submitting unusually innovative
- ideas for their classroom. I woud be interested in hearing your
- thoughts on this idea and would appreciate any information you may have
- about any of the above mentioned groups. Thanks.
