  11. I am looking for information on a group known as IMPACT II, a network of
  12. teacher support groups that began about 13 years ago in New York City
  13. with financing from the Exxon Education Foundation.  People in our
  14. region are contemplating the demand for a foundation that would provide
  15. instructional improvement dollars directly to teachers at the K-12
  16. level.  This would be similar to a program taking place in Los Angeles,
  17. the Small Grants for Teachers program run by the Los Angeles Educational
  18. Partnership, and would provide instructional improvement grants of less
  19. than $1000 dollars/year to teachers submitting unusually innovative
  20. ideas for their classroom.  I woud be interested in hearing your
  21. thoughts on this idea and would appreciate any information you may have
  22. about any of the above mentioned groups.  Thanks.
