- Use recessed fixtures that are rated for full insulation burial. They
- cost a bit more, but they're fail-safe. They have thermal protection etc.
- They work - we've tested their thermal cutouts quite a bit...

- Canadian codes (or rather, inspector/bulletin rules) require that
- non-direct-burial-rated recessed fixtures are surrounded by a approximately
- 8 cubic foot plywood box - to make absolutely certain no insulation falls
- over top of the fixture. Not a great idea...
