- It's actually quite reasonable from a practical viewpoint, too. ``The
- C++ Programming Language'' is the kind of book you read
- cover-to-cover over a short period of time, and then read parts of a
- second time when you've had time to digest the first reading.

- The ARM, on the other hand, is the kind of book that sits on your
- shelf and gets picked up over and over when you're in doubt of some
- tricky detail (and C++ has lots of those) or are discussing something
- or other. The ARM needs to be much more rugged than does the Language
- book.
