  32.     The Women's Peace Delegation to Israel and Palestine, 
  33. sponsored by the Middle East Children's Alliance, consisting of 
  34. women from the United States and Great Britain, today issues 
  35. the following statement.
  36.     "We are outraged by the illegal deportation of over 400 
  37. Palestinians from their rightful homeland and demand the 
  38. Israeli Government's immediate compliance with U.N. 
  39. Resolution 799.  We further demand that the U.N. and our 
  40. governments enforce the U.N. Resolution.
  41.     "We have witnessed the inhumane conditions in refuge 
  42. camps, the effects of military actions on unarmed children, the 
  43. institutionalized denial of basic human rights, and the 
  44. "administrative detention" of teenagers.  We have seen the 
  45. sealed homes and the confiscated lands and have witnessed 
  46. the systematic discrimination of the Palestinian people.
  47.     "As women we are appalled by the recent action of the 
  48. Israeli Government and we call upon women from around the 
  49. world to protest this injustice."
