- This is from the 12/92 PEACEWORK, newsletter of the Boston American Friends
- Service Committee.
-
- According to the North American Coordinating Committee for NGOs on the Question
- of Palestine (NACC), the University of New Haven is planning to open a branch
- on the Israeli settlement of Elkana. NACC says it "appears misguided at best,
- insidious at worst. It would be a violation of international law, including
- the Fourth Geneva Convention and the Hague Convention of 1907. It would also
- serve to legitimize Israeli occupation."
-
- The NACC is asking that protests be sent to Lawrence J. DeNardis, UNH
- President, 300 Orange Ave., West Haven, CT 06516, USA, 203-937-0756 (fax) and
- to Edward Djerejian, Asst. for Near East and South Asian Affairs, US Dept. of
- State, 202-647-7720 (fax), 202-647-7209 (tel).
