- Hello,
-
- My name is Ryan Harrington and I am sending this message as
- a project for my Biology II class. I was wondering about the
- recycling of automotive tires. I know they have big deposits of
- them similar to a sanitary landfill. I want to know what they do
- with these tires. Do they just make new tires or do they make
- other rubber products. Could it be that there is so many used
- tires that they just bury them like a landfill. I was also
- wondering about the proccess of recycling them. What stages the
- old tires have to go through to become new tires? And how durable
- will these new tires be compared to the non recycled tires? Would
- they be better, worse, or the same as regular tires? Would the
- price differ from any other tires and in what way? I would be very
- greatful on any imput you may be able to send me. The reason I am
- interested in the recycling of tires is because I am going to need
- new tires for my car pretty soon and I was looking for a cheaper
- but durable tire.
-
- Thank you
-
- Ryan Harrington
