  13.      My name is Ryan Harrington and I am sending this message as
  14. a project for my Biology II class.  I was wondering about the
  15. recycling of automotive tires.  I know they have big deposits of
  16. them similar to a sanitary landfill.  I want to know what they do
  17. with these tires.  Do they just make new tires or do they make
  18. other rubber products.  Could it be that there is so many used
  19. tires that they just bury them like a landfill.  I was also
  20. wondering about the proccess of recycling them.  What stages the
  21. old tires have to go through to become new tires?  And how durable
  22. will these new tires be compared to the non recycled tires?  Would
  23. they be better, worse, or the same as regular tires?  Would the
  24. price differ from any other tires and in what way?  I would be very
  25. greatful on any imput you may be able to send me.  The reason I am
  26. interested in the recycling of tires is because I am going to need
  27. new tires for my car pretty soon and I was looking for a cheaper
  28. but durable tire.
