- Hello, out there all you math experts. I have a problem that
- perhaps someone could suggest a book or hopefully a little
- share ware program that would help me.
- I am a professional mariner by trade and as such , part of what
- I do is go to Nautical School to upgrade my Certification.
- I am currently attending a course in Victoria B.C.
- I have only grade 9 math(20 years ago), A lot of the stuff we deal
- with is 1st year Univ level math,, I am able to get by with most of
- it and teach myself. However my consistent stumbling block is
- the Algerbraic transformation of forumlae. Taking the unknowns from
- , well basically isolating the unknown factors , once that is done, I have
- no particular problem (using a calculator(HP-41) to solve. I do not have
- the time to take a complete math course or Algerbra course, Any suggestions
- as to a GOOD book or hopefully a little shareware teaching aid that
- would address my problem??? thanx and cheers
