  19. Emmm... I think we were on the "sexuality" topic and you mentioned
  20. how the American schooling system and the society provides a
  21. twisted morality for the kids.  I'd tend to think most of this
  22. stuff comes from TV and movies instead.  You know, like this one
  23. stupid movie (oops, personal taste) "Pump Up the Volume" by
  24. Christian Slater and some girl... Oh well, enough said... it's
  25. almost midnight and I probably don't know what the hack I'm talking
  26. about.

  28. As for the moderator... I think we can still wrote in this areas
  29. provided that we don't go too far off topic.  I don't really trust
  30. Netmail either, since it could take a long (a few days) time to be
  31. delivered sometimes, and other times it's real fast. (sorta like
  32. Canada Post).  Yeah, I looked at the High_Ed echo too, it's WAY too
  33. serious to be used as a chatting media.

  35. I think I did so-so on my finals except for English and Physics,
  36. they were so damn impossible (oh well, you probably heard enough
  37. of this from my previous letter).  Anyways, at least figured that
  38. I couldn't have done better, so I'm kinda glad with myself.  But
  39. I wouldn't guarentee that my parents will have the same way of
  40. thinking as I do when that see the results... <sigh>

  42. So how was your X'mas?  Mine was great!  I called up couple of my
  43. best high school (some go to UofC, some go to MRC) friends and we
  44. went out for cheessecake.  We had SO much to talk about.  It was
  45. sorta like a reunion (at least it felt like one).  It was a blast!
  46. That was on the 25th.  On the 26th I went to this party of dad's
  47. friend close to my house.  He's my dad's doctor and that was the
  48. very first time I've ever met him.  The dinner was great, I had the
  49. best turkey in my whole life (but then again I says that every year
  50. ...grin).  After dinner, we sat down and started talking about his
  51. school years spent in England.  It's such an adventure, he told me
  52. everything from how he used to hate medicine (he was in management)
  53. to how he finished his M.D. and established a career for himself.
  54. Talking to him was like reading an epic (not sure if that's the
  55. correct word usuage in here).  He's not one of those spoiled kids
  56. who was born in a wealthy family and that's why I admire him the
  57. most.  Though sounds impossible, he literally _supported_ himself
  58. through his university years aboard.  He worked at resturants,
  59. sold beverages on the streets...etc.  Anyway, the conversation
  60. tipped off with a nice chocolate moose made by his wife.  Oh, I
  61. was dreaming that night, I dreamt about what I would've done if
  62. I was thrusted into his situation... and thanks godness it was
  63. only a dream <giggle>.
