- "Stolen" is probably misleading. I would use the term, "misappropriated".
- My understanding of the accusation is that money from a non-profit corporation

- was funneled to a campaign organization, to which corporations may *not* give

- Well, the indictment came from the Grand Jury, not from the AG. And didn't
- you read Folmar's remarks about knowing most of the people on the jury, and how
- they were independent thinkers, and not puppets of the AG?

- I have a full understanding of, and appreciation for, our system of justice.
- I was mostly responding to the notion that since the governor is a Republican
- and the AG is a Democrat, that it had to be political, no ifs ands or buts.
- Don't get me wrong here, I am certainly no fan of Jimmy Evans. Please don't
- make *that* mistake!
-
- There are several things about this case that have raised a "red flag" in my
- mind. One, I thought it very strange that when the Ethics Commission first
- started investigating, the governor went to Federal court to try and put a stop
- to it. That's a pretty dramatic move to make, especially since it is completely
- a state issue. Did he have something to hide? Two, the $10,000 from Don Martin
- that the governor says was a gift, and Martin says was a campaign contribution.
- Was the money ever reported as a contribution? I don't think so, tsk tsk. And
- three, have you watched the governor's response? He's not saying, "I didn't do
- it", he's saying words to the effect of, "I was only doing what my lawyers and
- tax advisers said was legal."
-
- Hmmmm....

- The governor's family needs our support now,
