  17. Yes, there have been various packages (I read of one report that 
  18. some infected packages of GEM were found) and some demo discs
  19. have been distributed with viruses (including one antiviri package
  20. that was a Michangelo-only detector; it was infected with another
  21. virus....). Leading Edge, I believe, shipped several hundred 
  22. systems that were infected, early last year.

  24. It does happen, but things have gotten *much* better over the last
  25. year or so.
