- Ok; I went by this evening, and they're out there!! (Posting at
- 8:32 pm Monday.)
-
- Directions, from Drake and Triana, heading west (towards Patton):
-
- Take the third right, onto Clopton; then, the third left, onto
- Spruce. Reindeer are in about the fourth house, on the right,
- under a red-and-white canopy. It's the house with all the lights.
-
- After you finish there (kids can have their picture taken in the
- sleigh with the reindeer, etc.), continue along Spruce until it
- dead-ends, then turn left onto Grote. This will lead you back to
- Drake, by way of cdthq.uucp, which will be the 60 foot tall tower
- on your right. You should be able to hear the electric meter
- whizzing from the street....
-
-
- From Patton/Jordan and Drake, heading east (towards Triana/Parkway):
-
- Take the second left *after* the entrance to Hillsborough Heights
- Baptist Church (the entrance is across from the gas station and
- convenience store at Thomas Rd), where the retaining wall ends.
- This is Grote; the large glow on the left is cdthq.uucp. Take the
- third right onto Spruce, and the reindeer will be at the house
- with all the lights on the left, about three streets down. Once
- you're done, follow Spruce to the end, turn right onto Clopton,
- and follow it to Drake.
-
- I went by about 7:00 with a light drizzle, and there were probably
- 12 to 15 cars there. I assume they'll permit pictures until at
- least 9:30, but expect to stand in line for a few minutes. The
- reindeer should be there until at least Christmas Eve, possibly
- through the weekend.
-
- Enjoy!
-
- (Sorry 'bout that munchkin attack!)
