- A very simple question for anyone who has been
- distributing a *text* file from a texinfo source:
- in some files .text on prep.ai.mit.edu, one
- can find headers like:
-
- "This is Info file standards.text, produced by Makeinfo-1.47 from the
- input file standards.texi."
-
- * Anybody out there knows how that works:
- * getting a *text* [not an Info] file with makeinfo?
-
- Until now, I used some sed(1) command to strip off the
- unwanted lines used by Emacs to locate nodes, and the
- Tag list.
- I would prefer to use a standard makeinfo command but
- wasn't able to figure it out (no hint in the Texinfo
- Info manual).
-
- Thanks [for any solution],
- Marcus
