  11. I just got this compiled - it seems to get confused in a variety of
  12. ways when one of us has to castle - particularly queenside - about 25%
  13. of the time.  Has anyone seen this before?  I'm not sure whether the
  14. bug is in gnuchess or in the xboard interface.  Fixes appreciated - I'd
  15. rather spend my time doing something interesting like typing in opening
  16. lines.

  18. I've been using "gnuchessr" to practise my blindfold chess.  Scored my
  19. first win against it yesterday - at 40/10 on a SUN 4/600.  I'm about
  20. 2050 USCF and probably a class F blindfold player, which makes me *really*
  21. suspicious of rating estimates in the 2300's.  (Ok, so I had to peek to
  22. find the mating combo, but still ...)  Comments?  The program seems ok
  23. tactically, but it has no positional "understanding" whatsoever.
